Haipeng Ren

Haipeng Ren, the head chef of the one-Michelin-starred restaurant Jie Xiang Lou, got into the industry inspired by the celebrated Chef Andre Chiang. Starting his career as a junior apprentice at Jie Xiang Lou in 2013, he ascended through the ranks to become the head chef. Better still, he was the winner of the 2025 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide Young Chef Award. 

In the industry with a high staff turnover coupled with a land of opportunity, Chef Ren who’s been with the same restaurant for over a decade is unusual.
