The Best Pizza Awards 2025 to be held in Milan

The Best Pizza Awards, which is a project organized by The Best Chef Awards and powered by Molini Pizzuti, is expected to hold its annual awards ceremony for its third edition in Milan on June 25th, 2025.

With an aim to keep the art of pizza-making, the Awards is engaged in searching for the finest pizzaiolos from New York to Dubai, ensuring no limits to regions or countries, celebrating diversity and excellence in pizza-making across the globe.

The prestigious list will be finalized by a panel of 512 experts from  60 countries with proven experience in evaluating culinary excellence, ensuring that the awards celebrate true craftsmanship, heritage, and innovation. 

In the previous edition, Franco Pepe of Pepe in Grani (Caiazzo, Italy) won the crown, and Rafa Panatieri & Jorge Sastre, founders of Sartoria Panatieri (Barcelona, Spain), took the second place, while Simone Padoan of the pizzeria I Tigli (San Bonifacio, Italy), came third. 

Additionally, there were eight special awards, such as The Best Pizza Science Award, The Best Pizza Art Award, The Best Pizza Next Award, The Best Pizza Pastry Award, The Best Fried Pizza Award, among others. 

This year, it will introduce two new distinctions, honoring outstanding social media campaigns and the best grab-and-go pizza. 

As a part of the awards ceremony, a dedicated Pizza Talks forum will feature thoughtful leaders in the global pizza industry, including the co-founder and chef at Disfrutar Eduard Xatruch,Yuichi Abellare Ito who rewrites the pizza playbook, Gabriele Bonci that is a Roman icon turning Pizzarium into a pilgrimage site for true pizza lovers, Javiera Contardo Ravano with a heart to redefine Latin America’s pizza culture, Daniele Cason who marries Roman roots with Tokyo innovation.
